5What is the difference between the 5 Year (B.A, LL.B)?
The 5 Year Course is designed for students who have cleared their 12th Board examination and wish to pursue law as a profession. The 5 Years are divided into 2 years of Pre-Law, followed by 3 years LL.B. The course has a total of 10 semesters and the degree conferred at the end of 5 years is B.A., LL.B.
b. The 3 Year Course is only for students who have completed their graduation (For eg. BA, BCom, BSc, etc.) from any recognized University. It is 6 semester LL.B. program.

8Are students of Boards and Universities other than Karnataka eligible for admission to the 5 years course?
Yes, students from any Board (such as C.B.S.E., I.S.C., etc.) recognized by Government are eligible for admission. The only difference with the admission procedure is the students outside Karnataka has to get the eligibility certificate from KSLU.
9What is the procedure for the admission of RILS?
Admission to the course shall be made strictly on the basis of the merit taking in to account total marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Provided that while making admission to the course reservation policy of the Government of Karnataka governing admission to higher educational institutions issued from time to time shall be applied.
10Can I take the LL.B on a part-time or distance-learning basis?
The LL.B Programme cannot be taken by correspondence or on a part-time basis.
11Whether hostel facility is available in RILS?
Yes. A separate hostel facility is available for both boys and girls
