• Online Faculty Development Programme on "Create an Impact on Online Teaching (Capture and hold your audience interests) on 22/April/2020

    The Coronavirus/Covid 19 pandemic has made the whole world population "stay at home" as well as work at home, except few essential service renders. This has made the teaching fraternity too to work from home. The teaching professionals had to engage the classes through online platform, where it was a big challenge and bottleneck to hold on the young buds in the online platform. Taking this challenge as a concern, where few educational institutes have trained the faculty members on how to use the online platform for teaching, mentoring, counselling as well as on evaluation and online assessments, but not thought off how to capture the audience interests in virtual classroom. In this context, to groom the confidence level among the faculty fraternity and also to overcome the aforesaid concern, Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies took an initiative to organise on Online Faculty Development Programme on "Create an Impact on Online Teaching (Capture and hold your audience interests)” on 22/April/2020 by Mr. Ramani Venkat, NLP Trainer, a platform where all the teaching fraternity had an opportunity to interact and exchange their opinions, concerns as well as share their experiences too.

    For the aforesaid programme, where more than 1900 faculty fraternity had registered across the country to participate. The Institution gave an opportunity on First come First basis for the first 100 registered participants and issued e certificate too. As per the requisition by many faculty fraternity, on the next day, the recorded version of the same was telecasted in the youtube for a stipulated time to all other registered participants and gave a platform for knowledge sharing.

    The online FDP gave an insights on which online platform is better to use for teaching, teaching pedagogy of virtual class rooms, usage of few websites for enhancing the teaching methods, sharing their experiences on usage of online platform as well as an aid to the problems faced by the faculty fraternity in the virtual class room.
