Karnataka Rajyotsava Day on Thursday, 1 November 2018 had students celebrate the culture of Karnataka and the spirit of Indian unity. Senior and Junior batches competed for winning the cash prize of Rs. 7500 (Ist Prize) and Rs. 5000 (II Prize) respectively. Eight teams participated in the competition which required them to score the highest average in three activities, namely- group dance, group song and ramp walk. The theme of national integration was portrayed in creative and versatile ways by the
participating teams. Presence of the Director, Dr. M R Pattabiram encouraged the teams. After the opening address by the Dean, Dr. Radha, a ceaseless performance by competing teams created a kaleidoscope of India’s rich cultural heritage represented through dance, song and attire.
Judges, Ms. Kruthicka and Ms. Kavery, Faculties from Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies had a difficult time deciding the second prize winners; the first prize they were convinced must go to the most riveting and seamless performance by Deepak and team from PGPM, II year. They raised the level of possibilities and raced ahead of the other teams in choreography, execution, team work and timing. The second prize winners were from AIMA –PGDM, Ist Year.
The event was remarkable on the scale of participation, volunteer team’s commitment, and most fetching stage decoration at the least cost.
