    This session was all about Introduction to Blockchain which started at 3:30 PM on September 23, 2020. Ms.Richa Sharma, Business and Growth Manager of Inblox Academy, introduced and welcomed our guest Mr.Shantanu Sharma, Vice President of Inblox Academy.
    Mr.Shantanu Sharma’s major interest has been mostly in Bitcoins but then after 2016, he developed his interest in the field of Blockchain. He has completed his certification on Blockchain and trains the candidates’ interest in pursuing their career in the field of Blockchain.
    The session started with the definition of Cryptography, Currency, Bitcoin and Blockchain. The speaker gave a clear view about each of the above mentioned definition and further started with the part one of the presentation which was based on the difference between money and currency.
    Mr.Shantanu Sharma first explained about the characteristics of money and currency as well spoke about the history of money. He said that soon after the emergence of digital era, Bitcoins came into existence which was founded by Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto in the year 2008.
    The next topic was on the difference between Bank v/s US v/s Our Money wherein he spoke about Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR), Diminishing Value and Hyperinflation. He further spoke on the topic of bitcoin which included the software, network and protocol followed by any company.
    After that, Mr.Shantanu Sharma spoke on the topic of Blockchain which included the history and evolution of Blockchain. The first Blockchain started with the cryptocurrencies which was known as Blockchain 1.0. Further Blockchain 2.0 and Blockchain 3.0 started with the innovation of smart contracts and decentralized apps respectively.
    He mentioned about the pillars of Blockchain which plays an important role in the working of Blockchain. He also spoke about the growth of bitcoins and currencies in the market as time passed. He also mentioned about the various coins and tokens available in the market.
    Lastly, the session ended with a discussion on various phases of block chain and its development from the traditional pattern to modern pattern.
